But the ones in opposition very rarely change the things they complain of when they eventually become the government

Didn't that bitch Thatcher try to get rid of the "frivolous" parties?
Maybe C'mon should start his own party: the POT Party, a one-trick pony party dedicated to Peeing Off Tories with mindless comments floating like morning toast on an endless river of links. This would attract the stoners who would be confused by the name (as well as most other things ); so, they would probably win some elections, hopefully for the EU Parliament. On the other side could be the "13 Party" ... membership open only to those with an IQ of 13 or less.

Ya Eric you could be the honorary life president of that party mate

Exactly Barrie that has always been the case, the reason being in opposition talking is cheap, they can say what they want, promise what they want, then do absolutely nothing when they get the chance

What? The FU? I'd vote for them.
There is a Marijuana Party of Canada/Parti Marijuana du Canada (if you are in Quebec ). But most of it's supporters have joined the mainstream parties and are working from within those parties to decriminalize simple possession. They tend to be left of centre on most issues; but they are still well within the mainstream.

Sounds like a lot of work ... you know, a guy might have to show up at the office sober and straight every now and again ... Better off in the Senate (kinda like the Lords) ... hang out in Ottawa for a few weeks ... spend the rest of the year on a fully funded fact finding mission in Jamaica
