It's not every mistake ... just the gems, those brilliant diamonds that provide a quantum of merriment in this dull and boring world. For all that he wreaks havoc on the language, C'mon just doesn't manage to come up with even one memorable error.

Lets face it though we could have had Ed Balls as chancellor, now that's a fate to worry about

So, Labour was responsible for the last global economic meltdown
And I read that Osborne is not going to let this downgrading affect his policies? Oops ... that should have been "policy" ... cut here, cut there, cut everywhere.
Even the ususally conservative, small government yanks had the sense to bail out GM and Chrysler. And the present administration seems determined not to go for massive cuts without some complementary increases in spending and in taxes on the wealthy. Whatever kind of positive spin you try to put on the loss of the AAA rating, you can't deny it is a blow. And although you think you are in good company, it would still be a much better sign for your ailing economy if you were in company with us and the krauts.

Could have something to do with this: "In the beginnning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." That seems to sum the whole thing up ... maybe the Word is going to end ... and about time too

You must be aware that "yous" is common over here in God's country (still AAA by the way ) ... as in: "Hey, any of yous guys wanna go in on a two-four and a Texas mickey?"

I think it's something to do with krystal nact. Walt Disney was well known as an anti-semite and a loyal member of the Tory party.

Re: The Tories
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Eastleigh ... Maybe because there is not much joy in the result for either the tories or for labour. And I sense that there aren't too many Lib-Dems posting on here. Me, I would have supported the Elvis Party

Re: The Tories
Mid term & a by-election, so not really of any importance to man nor beast. That said I think the Lib Dem result was a case of voting like for like to keep the status quo (same with many traditionalist seats) but UKIP coming second ... although probably a protest to kick the main parties up the arse it shows the underlying resentment & desire to be listened to by the voting public (those that made the effort at least).
If UKIP can build on this then the next election should be quite eventful & those who've ignored the public's requests will probably have to look at UKIP more seriously as a predominant force for support.
