Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe stated something that has been quoted by many people:
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free"...

I might show facts as plain as day: but, since your eyes are blind, you'd say, 'Where? What?' and turn away.

I read once somewhere that the ideal balance was two terms labour followed by one term tory - don't ask me why it was two terms labour and only one tory but that was what it said. The same applies in America too.
In recent years things have gone wrong because Labour outstayed their welcome with three terms (things only really started to go badly wrong during the third term) and in America when George Dubya was in for two terms.

Now, if Job Centres are going to send claimants to Charities to get a food top up, doesn't this mean that they are not actually giving enough money in benefits to meet the legal requirements for the claimants to survive?

Re: The Tories
Another problem left by Gordon then.
The total given emergency food boxes will rise from 61,000 in 2010 to an estimated 100,000 this year, according to the trust, which predicts that half a million Britons will need help by 2015. The latest available figures reveal that, in 2008-09 in England and Wales, almost 2.4 million people applied for crisis loans. Only 1.7 million received an initial award, meaning almost 700,000 were left waiting for a loan or had their applications turned down.

Re: The Tories
While I was waiting for my benefits to come through I was told there could be up to a 4 week delay in my first payment, due to the large amount of new claims swamping the system.
I asked how I was supposed to survive until then, I was told to apply for a crisis loan.
They now do this over the 'phone. One of the questions I was asked was, is there a family member or friend I could borrow money from to see me through?
My reply was no, they are all busy looking after themselves. She then said she would ring me back with the decision within 1/2 an hour.
True to her word she did ring back, she informed me I would not be getting a crisis loan because she had spoken to those nice people at the Job Centre and my first two weeks entitlement would magically appear in my bank account the following day, which it did.
I wonder how many people have put themselves into debt with friends or family because of this obviously flawed system?
Surely we shouldn't be recommended to try borrowing from others, (I might have tried using a loan shark), just because the Job Centre claim to have a 'Backlog'?

Very strange. ..according to the Government, newspapers (and a couple of regular posters on here ).. those claiming JSA are living the good life getting everything free and it's all lovely.
We have that favorite saying by the bloke from Ossy .." It might come back and bite you on the bum"...maybe we should think about that when we have a Government that is actively causing mass unemployment..but hey ho!

It's strange isn't it? I was almost tempted to mention that from post #474 could be a new and important thread, because, from what I remember the situation I am now in was decided before the coalition took power.
Now I know thank's to you that it should be a different thread, because surely the latest rules I'm having to abide by were introduced by Labour not the Tory's.
