From my experience working in Social Security, the 'thickies' are way outnumbered by the 'crafties'. Many have benefit fraud honed into a fine art. The real big fraud is the multiple identity scam which nets more dosh that this woman could have swindled if she lived with her fraud undetected for a millenium.

I actually think since your day Margaret, they are becoming more adept at catching these con men and women on multi identity fraud although there is still along way to go, but they don't really have to work very hard on people who are so thick they floant themselves infront of the world on national TV
