The Government has paved the way for forcing the BBC to share its licence fee with rivals. Consultation will start on the BBC sharing a "small element" of the television licence fee after 2013 to help ensure other broadcasters can provide a robust alternative to the national broadcaster.

all this will do is give teh BBC an excuse to raise the fee even higher

Well considering its not the BBC that ups the fee accyman but the Government itself, the balls in their court

simple solution is to scrap the bbc

the dissapearance of eastenders should be enough to justify teh scrapping of the bbc alone lol
