Mind you Cashy, the present incumbents haven't exactly got to grips with the situation either. They gave it large in the run up but now it actually comes to cards on the table & laying down the law they've crawled back under their rock waving the ubiquitous digit !

Pish & Wind, springs to mind !

I don't see any reason for labour, or any government, clamping down on payments private companies pay thier staff.. unless that company is part owned by the goverment.. and Barcleys are not owned by the government.

If so, I hope he can post some good Indian food recipies back on here, because the stuff that passes for Indian back here in Accy ain't worth the aftermath snot of a chicken vindaloo pahl.

No, Barclays was one of the banks which got through the credit crunch on their own so it isn't quite the same questionable situation that we find ourselves in with RBS.

However, whilst most companies are bringing their technical and support staff back to the UK Barclays seems not to realise the huge irritation caused to customers and staff by speaking over the phone about a detailed problem to someone whose first language is not the same as their own.

Most other big firms have clocked this, it is a false economy.

Thats funny Ken I always talk to some one called Fred Smith when I ring a multi national, who speaks perfectly good Indian
