Re: time/tiny/granville computers to close down?

You have my sympathies Boo. It’s a blow when hard earned money is taken form under you in this way. It really a double disappointment when you’ve expected goods to arrive to enhance your lifestyles. I know no amount of advice or condolences can make up for such a large amount. All I can add is speak to your insurers to see if there’s any linked cover to purchase’s, do the same with your card providers to see if you can pull anything back form them. Do you have any card cover that covers all cards? It’s worth asking……I wish I could be more helpful, but all I can do is wish you luck and hope that some how you get shorted out soon.

In respect of this company going under it’s one of those nasty situations were the workforce and consumers always loose out. I’m sure that the assessors working for the receivers will allocate some financial support to the workforce and consumers. The bulk will be written off. It’s one of those overriding issues in our world where those that produce the incomes of these company’s, the workforce and consumers always end up taking the responsibility and pay the price when either corruption or just bad financial management leads to closure. No doubt that the real villains will be back in business before to long……….

so sorry to hear about your trauma mummiboo and to all the others that have been stung by this nightmare. It's certainly made me re-think how I purchase things in the future and thats by credit card even if I've got the cash, I'll pay it to the credit card company then use the card to make the purchase. I know this is no help to those that have been ripped off but it's taught so many of us a valuable lesson. Here's hoping you get a successful outcome mummiboo xx

It must be an absolutely sickening feeling to have spent so much money in good faith and then find out that you aren't going to get what you paid for and might not even get your money back. Good luck trying Mummyboo and anyone else in the same boat.

I don't know whether it would help or not but you could consider looking into claiming via the Small Claims Court - it's possible that it would bump you a bit further up the list of creditors rather than just being another customer who's waiting for their goods. I don't know what it entails or whether it would be worth it but you could check it out.

Just another thought, did you order over the phone or the internet. Most banks have a Internet fraud guarantee. If this website was trading falsely(i.e. they knew they would never deliver) then you may have a claim that way.

Sorry to hear about you getting a TV from the burgers Mummiboo! This website run by Lancashire trading standards as an info and advice page on it's site!

I'm one of the lucky ones who paid using a credit card and I should bbe coverd for non-provision of goods and services! I'm hoping that everone gets their money back! but it makes me angry to think that they was still raking peoples orders on Monday! They must have known that the firm was going under and they are a bunch of robbing gets1

I have joined that site now dad thanks, entwisi i was going to buy off the internet but the guy in the shop told me they charged an extra £99 for delivery so i bought in store.

I then found out that he was lying there was no delivery charge on the internet, ha ha it gets worse dont it.

i'l cross mine for you too mummiboo ...i am just hoping that they dont deliver ours now ,then at least we will not have to pay,, if they come up with the goods then they have fulfilled their part of the bargain..and we will also be stuck with a useless extended guarantee

Re: time/tiny/granville computers to close down?

If they can't supply proof that the guarantee exists(i.e. that you would be able to make a claim for the duration of the guarantee period) reject it under the distance selling regulations. IIRC you have 7 days from date of delivery.
