I thought showing the job advertisment, at the Palace Westminster, could have helped a pal achieve a long held ambition to work there.

I agree it's a long shot, and there's bound to be a lot of applicants, but it is probably the only avenue now left open.

I think you're being cruel if you don't help.

Was he moonlighting as a maths teacher?

Showing them all the confusing way to fill out the ex's sheet so that nothing would appear too obvious?

Didn't work for most of 'em did it?

Ken had a cleaner in London?

I never knew that.

I would have treated him to lunch.

Yes, you are spot on with that Jaysay....well, except they won't do any job for a Rand or 2......more likely to be a grand(or after the recent revelations) a few hundred grand.

It depresses me that a hoard of greedy sods are going into politics to rip people off but people like me who want to make a difference just get ignored untill we are 30 :sulks:

What's the magical thing you can do at thirty, that you can't do before?

People of all ages are making a difference every hour of the day. Whether it's a child carer of a disabled parent, or putting the few coppers in change you get given in a shop, into a charity box.

Nearly every action you do could be deemed as a political action, if you so wished, and it doesn't need to be allied to party politics.

Some would say 'sulking', because you feel disenfranchised, is a political act of protest.

Though personally I'd say it was self indulgent, and a waste of energy.

Re: To lazy to push a button

I'd received my first death threats by the age of fifteen, from some moronic, semi-literate fascists...and I was a late starter.

Don't ever limit yourself, if you really want to do something, especially by something as unimportant as age.

accyweb wasn't going back then in the heady days of gaslighting so you must be referring to a different set of moronic, semi-literate fascists.

They were missives consructed out of individual letters, cut out of newspapers, like an old fashioned ransome note from the movies.
