Re: Tonight the Lunar Eclipse will turn the sky bright Orange
On the day of that solar eclipse I had a piece of smokey glass to look at it through. We also got some free cardboard glasses with "eclipse burgers" from the butchers! Don't ask me what the eclipse burgers tasted like, I can't remember.
The moon here tonight didn't look very red at all and the sky was just its normal black.

Well, from where I was down Clayton, thought it was fantastic .... not red Willow, but thought it may be James with his Giant Peach up there ..
Thanks for the pictures everyone, made a 'stay at home alone' night extremely enjoyable ... xxxxxx

I could see the colour on the photo from your neck of the woods Katex. Obviously so different between Clayton and here and yet it's not that far away.

The moons back now nearly just a little bit left to go and we got a full circle again.

Re: Tonight the Lunar Eclipse will turn the sky bright Orange
Great pictures people.
Thanks from someone who couldn't quite muster himself to get outside.
(In fact I was in so much pain I was having a good cry when the eclipse happened, but will save the sympathy card for another time...when I might need it more.)

Re: Tonight the Lunar Eclipse will turn the sky bright Orange
Couldn't believe I was the only one on our road sat on front doorstep looking upwards .... felt like waking them all up. Neighbour to the left with two young boys who I know would have loved it, in bed; Neighbour to the right, still up, but light went out and telly obviously on in bedroom. How could they miss it !!
Would have gone to wake them up if I hadn't been in pyjamas, dressing gown, warm scruffy coat with big scarf, fag in one hand, glass of wine in t'other .. gotta 'keep up appearances, hasn't one?' ..
Tell, ya' what though, anybody else got a stiff neck now ?...
