tony blair

ok with the election coming up ime kinda decided that ime not voting conserative

now how i vote isnt realy the issue but is it just me or is anyone else left with the kind of morbid feeling at voting labour

would anyone else agree that labour its self isnt the problem but tony blair alone is the reason for this depressing feeling at voting labour

ive watched quite a few late night showings of labour canvases and news meetings and to be quite honest the sight alone of tony blair makes me want to kick the damn TV lol

its just his smug attitude, incabability to give a straight answer and not been able to control that stupid grin of his even when lying his ass off

gordon brown however comes off a lot better and seems to appear to actualy believe in what he prommises

hey for all i know gordon brown may just be a better liar lol but at least he has the decency not to smile about it

not exactly a raging political debate i know lol but who would you rather see as labour leader

Re: tony blair

Chav, you missed an essential option out of your poll questions:- None of the above.

If you seriously imagine that Gordon Brown would make a good Prime Minister, I have to say that you and cashman both need your heads examining. Sorry chaps, but he is an even worse liar than Blair. I have the feeling that anyone who actively seeks the position is probably the worst person to occupy it.

Interestingly, I have heard the question of prosecuting Blair for war crimes raised twice so far this weekend. Michael Howard has publicly callled him a liar. On Friday he went to Dover where he said that it was not racist to question immigration and then proceeded to deride Howard as a racist for..... raising the question of immigration.

It seems that both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats will be bringing the War in Iraq to the front of their campaigns this coming week.

Re: tony blair

As l've stated in another thread this is the first time l won't be voting Labour in my adult life. Who would l like to see as leader of the Labour Party besides myself? l have no idea.

I see no major difference between all the mainstream, career politicians.

Where is the passion, the rousing orators, the policies?

Again as previously stated, l will be making my mark as a spoiled paper to show l'm dissatisfied.

It's a pity there isn't a Monster Raving Loony candidate standing in Hyndburn. I quite like their policy of minting a 99p coin to save on change.

More of a choice between 2 because Margaret Thatcher was obviously added tongue-in-cheek.

There should have been an option for "none of the above". We need a new leader of the Labour Party but I don't think Gordon Brown is the ideal choice.

Re: tony blair

Where I am I doubt that what I vote will actually change the final result, but I can but try!

I saw part of the Paxman interview where he couldn't give a straight answer; perhaps I could have helped him - of course he doesn't know how many illegal immigrants there are; that's why they're called illegal immigants.

If he can't answer such a simple question, how the hell can he expect us to vote for his party?

I have never voted Labour, and it doesn't look like I'm about to start!

I've gone for Tony Blair! my choice would have been for John Prescott in an ideal world, but we live in days of spin, good looks and to talk without an accent, and only people that look and speak right need apply for the PM job,Micheal Foot was never joining to win simply on his looks, weather you vote Labour Tory etc people tend to go off these things and if your leader is'nt then they won't get the keys to number ten!

Re: tony blair

As far as I am aware there are no keys for number 10, so no-one would get them anyway!

But on a more serious note, people voted John Major in, and the only person on this planet who liked his looks was Edwina Currie, wasn't it?!

I think voting on looks alone is a bit silly, and to me would illustrate a total lack of understanding of politics
