Top 3 List - Like Least about the U.S.
Since you started a whinge on Great Britain figured I'd give you guys a go at America. Note that it is ONLY a top 3 list. Please no jokes about "just 3" etc.
 .Once you get the negatives out, I'll start a Top 3 (yes only 3) like best of U.S., but that will be later. I shall start: 1. . . . . . . . . actually better let you guys start. Don't want to sway anybody and NO I didn't even think of noting Steeljack or Billcat! Brian

1. The food .. never been a country for haute cuisine, particularly lack of dairy products.
2. Clothes ... old fashioned and frumpy and if you don't wear the t-shirt and denims, forget it. 3. Cigarettes ... even though where you live LancsYorkee grow the stuff.. just don't know how to put a decent fag together. Not getting into the politics, just the material things. Will go onto the things I liked now, which outweigh the above. x |

can only think of 1 thing i hate not dislike, thats the horrible/ignorant customs officials at differant airports, by the way they were of cuban/latin american origin in miami.

Dislikes-
1/ Although most people are genuinely friendly, it does grate when you've had your tenth 'have a nice day' before noon, when you know they are just saying it because they have too. 2/ Politicans who were/are B-list actors, or ex-Mr Universes. At least Glenda Jackson MP has a couple of Oscars under her belt. 3/ Modern day Hollywood films.

I'm with Granny here. There are far more things I dislike about Britain in 2006 than America and, to be honest, being British (well, English) I'm not really qualified to judge America anyway.
I'll tell you 3 things I like about America. Very little snobishness; Spaciousness; Hotels that charge by the room and not by the head-count. Oh, and I like American accents too (and there are lots of different ones).
