Tornado Steam loco

Saturday 11/05/2019 The Steam Special "MAD HATTER" is running between Darlington and Chester. It is hauled by the new built famous loco Tornado. Booked to pass through Accrington at 1152. That time could vary either way due to unforseen circumstances.
I hope some of you will be able to post photographs on here if you see the loco. I'll be stuck in the Blind Society Book shop so probably won't get to see it but I have seen it at Rawtenstall in the past and it's well worth seeing if you have an interest in such magnificent machines.

Re: Tornado Steam loco

I was working in the Arndale when the Tornado was due so I nipped up the highest accessible floor of the car park to grab a shot. I was a heck of a long train.
Trouble is that they have put bars all round making it difficult to get photos. That's probably why the other photographers were somewhere else. I was the only one up there. I'll know next time.

Well Done Russell.
Those shot look great to me...considering where they were taken from
