Re: Tory Tory Tory

It's late but even the stupid would recognise that to take away something that is more than likely good for little children than bad, simply to be taken because of "cut's".. is not the forward thinking, but alas, worse maybe to come!

And even the stupid would realise that if people really wanted milk for their children it was dirt cheap anyway, and ANY size family would have been able to afford it whilst I was at primary school, and obviously now science suggests there isn't even need for such a thing, so it isn't far fetched to refer to the idea of a 'milk break' as a luxury rather than a necessary expense.

your saying people but some people are scum and would rather buy cigarettes and beer than give their children proper food . it was all about education a child will learn more with a half empty tummy rather than an empty one and that is fact so your argument has just been blown away .the thing is there was no mininuim wage in them days so the poor worker was even more exploited by business and people couldnt afford proper food so theres another point of your argument gone...ps i just remembered why we can afford other things now it was labour who brought in the minimum wage, ohh and who opposed it the caring tory party.mmmmmm

I don't know which planet you were living on at that time, but the rest of us had gone decimal when children stopped getting free milk.

We didn't go "Decimal" until the late 70's.. we lived on a council estate. I seem to remember a mate of mine going decimal before me.. but then again he got a brand new bike at Christmas..I got a polo mint and a dead goldfish.

Re: Tory Tory Tory

This is great, Milk Milk and more bloody dairy milk, or milk tray maybe.

Okay well I am old enough to remember free milk. We got at Primary and school lunches were awful. We were not well off, my dad worked dammed hard as a Jukebox Repair engineer.

I loved the late 70's, remember, Down to 2 tele channels thanks to the ITV strikes, dads first Japanese car, it started in the morning, without him having to take the Dissy cap and leads off and warm them on the fire, did not leak oil and he never went under the bonnet. Shame the UK could not build a car that worked. The power cuts, awesome. The Gravedigger strikes, and binmen as well, great. Lets us not forget more petrol shortages wow what a time it was, good old Labour.

It was great, not forgetting the Cold War as well. Loved it.

The problem is all politicians are in it for the money these days and rarely care about us.

Oh nearly forgot, Liverpool won the European Cup Twice in a row, with Crazy horse (RIP Emlyn) asking for his cup back.

But will replase it with something which does not have so much red tape surrounding it, ask anybody who has worked for the revenue and customs over the last few years, the admin was appalling to say the least

I'm sure there'll be much less red tape if you're allowed to bring back the workhouse.

Damn.

I really wasn't going to post in this thread again.

I should really start a virtual brick wall thread, so whoever feels the need can bang their head against it.
