Re: Transdev
its not the drivers fault Mick, they have camera's on the buses now and everythig is thoroughly watched
the drivers get lots of stick for things that have nothing at all to do with them and afterall they are only trying to earn a wage like everyone else

we are introducing revised fares from Sunday 4th January 2009, and below is a brief guide to the changes we have made
single and return fares will be increased as follows:
Fares up to £1.60 by up to 10p
Fares £1.70 to £2.90 by up to 20p
Fares £3.00 to £3.90 by up to 30p
Fares £4.00 to £4.90 by up to 40p
Fares £5.00 and above by up to 50p
1 day tickets
the price of spot on 1 day ticket will be held at the current rates of £4.00 for adults and £2.00 fr children
7 and 28 day tickets
Adult 7 day tickets have been increased by between £1 and £2 and 28 day tickets between £4 and £5. The child discount (for those ages between 5 and 15) hs been reduced from 50% to 40% on these tickets to reflect their use at our busiest times of the day.
.................................................. .....
Transdev know that they can charge whatever they want now for their fares because there is NO competition, by the end of 2009 they will own ALL the buses in east lancashire, we have no choice but to pay these stupid prices
from what the woman in the office was saying today kids will pay 3/4 of adult fares instead of half
scandalous
|
So after we've had to pay for a pass to make sure our kids can travel to school at half fare, they are now putting a child's fare up to 3/4 of the adult price - might as well have saved the price of the pass in the first place!

Re: Transdev
I had to pay for my son's, I think they're only free up to age 12 or 13 - it's just the greed of this company that really gets my goat.

Re: Transdev
My youngest is a bus monitor on the school bus which entitles him to a free pass to be used on majority of east lancs buses as far as blackpool, lancaster, bolton etc
Yet on numerous occasions he has got on the bus for them to refuse the pass as its not a school bus and despite him saying for them to check the back of the pass where it clearly states all services up till 9.30pm they just tell himm to pay up or get off.... I have complained to transdev and they assure me all their drivers are aware of these passes..
yeah right!!!!!!!!!!

13 is the age where you have to pay £2.
If anybody has a digital camera and some photo paper the photos don't have to be be proper passport photos, I did my daughters
I hope one day Transdev get stiffed right up the arse

Re: Transdev
So she gets what she's entitled too, and you save money in the end..and the drivers don't have the difficult job of trying to suss out who's over age and trying to get on half fare????

Quite agree Panther, I can understand the need for kids to prove their age when out of uniform but not when they are in full uniform and obviously going to school, I held out from getting one from my lad for a while but then got one just to stop him getting a lot of hassle on the school bus, cost me six quid including the photos and now they're changing the goal posts by increasing the child fare anyway.
