It's far more likely to read "Come On Liverpool" if written by our Bazf!

It's on the 11th March at Accrington Town Hall - yes, there will be a creche.
I'll be posting a lot more about all the events that are going on that week closer to the time - suffice to say the over all banner for the week is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

Re: Translator please
Provision of foreign language information is something that we do quite well in this country. Sadly, we find that a hell of a lot of Urdu speaking women are actually unable to read it and have to get a male member of the family to read it for them.

That's true but if we put that one line on in Urdu it will at least acknowledge to them that they are not excluded on the day and that it is something that they should know about.

Re: Translator please
Why do British women need a sign in Urdu?

Re: Translator please
The Urdu speaking women probably have English speaking relatives who will be able to translate the rest of it for them but it would be a nice gesture if the wording could be written in several languages so that no-one feels excluded or others don't see one group being singled out and included. After all what about the Asian women who don't speak Urdu? It's a bit of a minefield Gayle, isn't it?

Re: Translator please
Nice point Willow............I totally agree, if it as to be done then all languages should be represented. Although I’d much prefer people who chose to live in this county to at least get to grips with English even if it’s only as a second are third language……

Re: Translator please
I agree with that point Doig - others have done in the past. We've never provided multi lingual signs before, apart from the Welsh providing them in English for us!
We managed to recognise a few words of Arabic when we were in Tunisia and we were only there a fortnight! I'd know the arab word for CocaCola a mile off now.
