I feared certain sections of the community might be inspired to carry out copy-cat attacks of mindless violence.

I do hope this turns out not to be true.

According to Facebook users .. all is quiet in town.

Kipax has a great 'photo of the centre about 11.40 p.m. showing all is well.

Can there ever be a 'great' photo of Accy centre, it looks on most days like there's been a riot, with the amount of rubbish on the streets, and the wino's congregating, pity people don't know how to use rubbish bins anymore.

Re: trouble in Accrington

Came through Accy just after midnight on my way home from friends.. All seemed quiet but I do believe that the X41 bus was attacked in Manchester, there were women and children on the bus but luckily nobody hurt.

Its true Lettie, they have re-routed all the x41's today, they won't be stopping in the centre of Manchester, their last stop will be Victoria Bridge
