that is true but sometimes I get to the stage were I will risk anything due to hunger.

As for what the Calder used to be I was trying to work out if it was the old Boots or if that was next door?

Re: Trying to eat at The Calder

what annoys me is that we can't take Siobhan in on a lunchtime. Julie and I woud eat there on Sundays but their rule of absolutely no under 18s anytime means we can't.

Still, their loss is another pubs gain. We quite like bently Wood Farm at the minute ( I used to be the assistant manager there 11 years ago. Its had some rather major work done on it since. The foods good quality and reasonably priced.)

I used to go to the Calder quite a lot for Lunch. Service and food always excellent ........ Nothing lasts eh?? I used to love their Southern fried chicken wrap, curly fries and salad hmmmmmm

Entwisi, give the Black Horse a try, they are child friendly and the food is great. ( and , no, I am not on commission,, it's just a nice clean pub run by a lovely couple.)
