Uncharted Waters
The lead story on EU Referendum today concerns the fact that more and more disgruntled Labour voters are switching support to the BNP.
I'd like to know what you all think about this.

Re: Uncharted Waters
I don't agree with him. I think more and more people are getting disillusioned with Labour and choosing not to vote at all. At the same time, because the Conservatives are going more middle ground, a large proportion of the Conservative vote is switching to BNP.

I'd go one step further and say it's not just Labour people are disillusioned with but politics of all flavours and thats why they don't vote !!

Re: Uncharted Waters
I think the BNP have little to offer the genuine voter. Labour have gone to far down the special relationship route with America for my liking, they and the others have yet to grasp the difficult situation we face in this shrinking country of ours.
We need to focus on the long term impact of an increasing population; that’s at odds with what we are as a Nation. For the past 30 or 40 years the impact as been from the Multiculturalists and the Political Correctness brigade, this needs to change, natural resources, land, building space as all suffered under the strain of people coming into the country and non of they have any real idea on how to turn the tide.
This is England; it as always had a changing multicultural population that until the last few years as integrated and become part of the culture, today that culture is also under strain, we have lost so much of our religious and social values over the years that we are now becoming a non valueless society.
I think we should now focus on a “Service not self” future and bring in a form of national service that can teach our youth real values. This shouldn’t just be Military Service; it could be service with the emergency service, voluntary organisation, Nursing and the allied professions, environmental organisations and our religious groups and foundations, and not necessarily pro Christian ones.
Three years guaranteed work experience that they can’t shirk from, let’s just make it less easy to profit from the system and let people earn a place in our society.

And it's about time to, people are now waking up and voting for who they want to, rather than who they ought to vote for.

Re: Uncharted Waters
Although the BNP may be gathering more votes, I'd need harder evidence as to where they were garnered from than a biased right wing blog site.

It's nothing to do with left or right, it's wanting facts, rather than the meandering thoughts of some blogger, that's all...and that's right.

Re: Uncharted Waters
Any drop in support amongst canvessed voters by not voting at all can make the BNP percentage look good. As for them being a political party then no its more akin to Hitlers and Mussollinis idea of a political party.

We must all learn the lessons of history and not forget the lives lost by another 'facist', not all that long ago, BNP has no place in a 'civilised' society and should viewed with the contempt it deserves.
