Re: Uncontrolled dogs.

If hers are on a lead and yours aren't, surely they'd be able to get away if anything untoward happened?

But then, again, it does depend on the responsibility of the owner-say if Kya attacked a dog whilst she was on the lead, I would break up the fight myself (not that she would!) But if someone who didn't take responsibility decided to just scream and drop the lead and run off or such (it happens!)Then dogs will be dogs and if yours are off the lead you may not be close enough to help them and to separate the fight

Re: Uncontrolled dogs.

As said Earlier, Daisy has been bitten and snapped at quite a lot when she was young, and this has made her very wary of other dogs. If there are other dogs around, she stays on the lead because wagging tail or not, if a strange dog comes running up to her, she will bark and snap at them. This, in my opinion, doesn`t make her a vicious dog, just one who`s had bad experiences with strange dogs and seems to have adopted the philosophy I`m going to bite them before they bite me. I`m doing my bit by keeping her under control and tell the owners of other dogs what she is like, but some people just don`t care.

I don't think you can really do much more than that. It's the irresponsible owners who cause the problem.
