Re: Underage Drinking.

I think it's down to the attitude to this new generation of drinkers; I'm not saying my lot were little angels - but we were/ARE responsible & know when to stop and how to behave (and we know the concept of socially drinking; not binging every thursday on watered down crap beer from town centre pubs). Sorry to say this but I do believe the attitudes are coming from home & school with not enough awareness of what damage alcohol can do to young people inparticularly.

Re: Underage Drinking.

I get the impression that the problem is quite widespread, the worrying thing is it is not only lads(as when I was....)but young girls.God only knows what their parents must be like if they are prepared to have their girls put at this extra risk.Type for a sweep of the streets!

Re: Underage Drinking.

i would hate to bee a teenager today because most of teh girls now have beer bellies

alco pops are directed at young teenagers and the result is young teenagers with beer bellies getting rowdy and sometimes violent on the streets

Re: Underage Drinking.

I suppose with the appearances of some kids, judging their true age must be a nightmare for bar /off licence staff. I certainly wouldn't like the task.

No but they have shown them how to recycle their 'white lightening' bottles into binoculars and their super strength cans into bongs

Its all very multicultural these days.

No I doubt it would be that basic. The next creation is a home brew shed and an illicit moonshine still.

Under age drinking has always gone on, but now they just seem more open about it and drinking more often.
Perhaps it's just to easy to get the money to buy the stuff for some of them.

Does that mean that we as parents are giving the too much money for piece and quiet at the weekend?
