Re: Underage Drinking
Nobody can use the excuse of "Oh, but they've nothing to do" When i was a teenager me and my friends where in the same boat. We didn't have anything to do, but we certainly didnt hang around drinking on street corners and/or intimidating people. If we did drink, it was either in my, or another friends house. This is with beer that our parents bought us, they would always rather we drink under their supervision than on a dark street till all hours. I never ever once asked a stranger to buy me booze.
So the "nothing to do" excuse does not wash with me one bit. The kids that do drink on the streets choose to do so. Even if they are not allowed to bring in all their friends into their house. They why the need to drink?? You choose to drink its not something that MUST be done!
Incidentely, I have worked in pubs for 10 years now and have always been very strict on ID. I always use Challenge21. And the majority have ID and aren't offended when asked for it.
