This story on Hyndburns website made me laugh on one hand and angry on the other.

Untidy Garden Leads To Court

Following on from my earlier rant how can Hyndburn moan about untidy gardens when they don't look after their own.

I went for a walk around three of our parks this afternoon, Milnshaw, Gatty and Rhyddings.

Here are a few pictures I took.

I think it would be very interesting for peoples comments and even better please post your own pictures of grot spots in your area. As a collection of people we have a louder voice than on our own.

Will try and take one tomorrow.

One of Accy's biggest grot spot is yards from the Town Hall.

The back that runs off Dutton Street, behind the video shop.

Piles of disgusting filth, which has been there for months.

I know you can report it, but we already have the correct department on speed-dial for Ossy, and just presume someone will clear it, but they don't.

Just what we need, people to inform the council of where we aren't up to scratch. How can we improve if we don't know what's wrong?

However, it would be more productive to e-mail photos with a brief description of any grotspots to:

Cllr Clare Pritchard, Cabinet Member for Environmental Issues in Hyndburn is a member on here and she is looking for grot spots to sort out so please post your pictures and lets get it sorted.

Maybe it would but then the rest of us would not see the mess reported. Doing it this way is more public and maybe the local papers will pick up on it as well.

Like I said before together with have a loud voice, send a picture in and you are one person.

I agree with that one. Have to look at it every week when I go to the bank with my millions

Just seems so odd.

Being so near to the Town Hall, and on a direct route between there and Scaitcliffe House.

You'd think one of the powers that be would also see it.

They can't all be carried in sedan chairs, between the two places.

It's been a disgusting mess for well over a year.

Take a picture with your phone next time, if you can't work ask Mel to do it and post it so we can all see it.

The Council appear to be acting so lets tell them.

Yea but if somebody had pointed it out then the previous council would have sorted it all out and you'd be left with nowt to do

Why doesn't someone take some pictures of the dossers, beggars, alkis and smackheads in the town centre?

Then maybe Ken will believe us and other Labour councillors like Bernard, Claytonender and Clare Pritchard will end their deafening silence on the subject?

We will probably get done for breach of human rights, I use the term 'human' very loosely
