hi mog, mostly i do stone mines, adits, culverts and drains. i'll have ago at most underground places except sewers, really dont like the idea of sewers for obvious reasons

Urban Caveman, I am still a bit confused with your wording mate. What do you mean when you say you do stone mines etc. Do you go climbing rock face or do you go down old and unused mine Adits or what. Give us another clue other than you will have a go at most underground places. The only stone mines I know about are quarries. But then again I only worked in coal mines.

D, You would normally find an Adit towards the top of the Upcast Shaft in a conventional mine. This Nearly Horizontal shaft is where the Exhaust ventilation Fan is housed to allow air to be drawn round the mine workings. Also drift mine such as Thorney bank entrance to the mine could be called an Adit. All an Adit is basically a horizontal roadway into a hill, mountain to allow access to ore, minerals etc. But I am still not getting what Urban Caveman wants to do. Or what he says he does.
