You could make that observation about Australia.

Does Australia have a gun problem?
The last time I looked, it did not.
Why might this be?
There are dangers in these outlying homesteads in much the same way as in the US....but the right to bear arms is not part of the Australian constitution...and while you are right that guns do not kill people...I think that the constitutional right to bear arms is the crux of the matter...that and the fact that those who want to exercise their right, are less able to accept the responsibilities that go with the rights.
I just wonder how many more young lives will be wasted, how many more empty words spoken...and still nothing will change because of the power of the NRA.
All the words, all the handwringing and tears will not bring those dead children back....nor will it protect the potential future victims.
Nothing will change until PEOPLE change their attitudes to firearms.

Can't argue with yu on that Margaret, most Australians with any brains are from British stock, different mind set from the septics, and your other post brings to mind the speech in parliment by Enoch Powell, he was derided and ridiculed, but he was right, a good clear out would solve a lot of problems
Trouble is they breed like rabbits as well, unless some thing is done, then by the end of this century Westminster Palace will be the biggest mosque in the country, and all our descendants will be in Australia or dead.
