Vitamin Supliments

So what Vitamins do you take, if any and why.

Been meaning to look into this for a while and after watching a video sent to me about Vitamin D im now more compelled to make a start for all the family. (D being a first purchase).

If anyone's interested here is the video I watched about Vitamin D.

No Please.

Re: Vitamin Supliments

I take 6000iu of vitamin D3 (there is more than one type of vitD) daily because I don't get sunlight exposure.
The topic of food supplements is too big to big to fit into one post - I take many.

What each person needs by way of supplements depends on their diet, lifestyle, and metabolic type.

If you have just realised that the food now being sold as nutritious isn't neccessarily so, then you have started a journey to better health.

Vitamins alone are inadequate - minerals are important too - and how the supplements are manufactured.

An example of ludicrous money led marketing is illustrated -
Corn Flakes 'with added iron' contain iron filings which the body cannot utilise as a nutrient.

Re: Vitamin Supliments

I don't know about all the other claims, but I was in unbelievable pain in all my joints until my GP prescribed a very high strength vitamin d supplement. After five days no pain, at all.
p.s. Pretty good video until right at the end when he veers from science to god.
