Its w32 funner. A worm that spreads using messenger and modifies the hosts files. Looks like the contact is trying to send you an attachment but its the worm trying to access.

been on msn most of the day and so have quite a few i know on there i aint picked anything up well nothing has come up on mine or any of the others ive spoke on there

best way is just to not accept file transferes for the time being, specialy not for files with funny extentions like .pif (this info is providing it's the worm that someone on my contact list had last week

)

i got a worm a couple of weeks ago from a young friend of mine & that had it in the attachment, luckily my security picked it up asap, but my young friend has not been back on since, i rang & it seems as if their p/c is full of them, it actually came through messenger.

dont know whats happening with the virus on msn but i was on there all afternoon and aint got it and told everyone i know on there and no one i know has it or has heard anything about it and anything emailed to me is scanned before it appears in my inbox on outlook

Doesn't come through an e-mail attachment it appears as if a contact on msn is trying to send you a file attachment.

hwta can it come with any file attachment even if you have requested it?
