most of the sea front is closed off jen as is the town centre... apparently its been pretty bad down there today

It looks it!

My garage is still standing though!! The architect for RBC told me 6 years ago that it wouldnt last the winter - well its still standing!!

Just got a text message off my neighbour. Shes stuck in Manchester! Wanting to know what the traffic is like here its just took 2 hours to go a mile!

I'm amazed that our boiler is still lit - some of you may remember this is the boiler that British Gas told me was defunct.

got a back garden which looks like a war zone no fencing left at all but other than that we,ve been pretty lucky...couple of houses on road have lost slates and tv aeriels but think sea front area got the bruntof it ty

It was one of the windiest days I can ever remember today.

I have a plant in a ceramic tub. All told it must weigh six stone, it's very heavy. It was blown out of my garden, and through the gate, and ended up thirty feet down the street. Rescuing the broken pot in my dressing gown wasn't a good idea...well not without underwear.

I couldn't close my door for ages, as the wind was so strong.
