Whale in london?!

Seems very strange but its very true!
Theres a whale swimming about in the river thames. Experts believe its a bottlenose whale and that its only a baby. Ive been watching it on the news and at one point it was swimming to close to the shore and almost beached itself, there was a bit of red in the water that looked like blood coming from its tail but other than that its swimming around happily.

have a look!

It should be OK providing they keep the Japanese tourists off the pleasure boats. Otherwise the poor little thing might end up getting harpooned.

Funny how things change, isn't it? A hundred years or so ago it would, by now, have been made into soap, corsets and pies!

Anyway I wish it well, I like whales. In general they have more sense than some humans.

Things don't look too good for this poor whale.....it has become tired and distressed and it is feared that it will not survive.

I had a really good look when the news was on, I didn't recognise it Rind ....... you?

Seriously it's awful to see an animal in such distress. Will it always be one of lifes little mysteries as to the reason why they do this? I hope it survives, they were hoping it would go out on the tide.

I am pretty certain that the real reason whales beach themselves is to die - they know they are going to die and head for the shore, beach themsleves and wait for nature to take it course..all sad but I am sure its true...

Why would you have small pods of them trying to beach themselves though? Surely they aren't intelligent enough for suicide pacts?

Tinks and myself told you.

Black is much more flattering than that black and white wet suit you wear.
