Cool Re: whales revenge.

Although I have signed the petition I did so because of the method of whaling rather than the act itself.

Whales, like much of the marine life, are food for some so to petition against the ‘slaughter’ is in effect petitioning to take the food out of people’s mouths.

What about a petition to stop the fishing for monk fish. Unlikely because it is plain ugly yet it is food for some. Whales have been described as ‘beautiful’ creatures.

I wonder what the response would be if the whale was as ugly as the monk fish?

Thanks Jambutty. If the fishing were primarily to provide food, then perhaps it would be justified.
