Re: what do you think should happen to cannon street church?
You haven't offended anyone, sometimes its good to have them brought back, this is an example as we never did hear what has happened to the building if anything

Thank's K.S.H., regarding the building there has been some activity IE; members of the cogregation have been clearing it out and a number of 'suits' have been in and out, there is some interest in turning it into flats and offices, this will be difficult to obtain planning permission for, not just the class 2 status as you are probably aware of, but access and car parking can be a stumbling block. This is one of the busiest Streets in the borough along with Eagle Street.

Re: what do you think should happen to cannon street church?
Is there enough space down the side to park a car or three?

Yes I think there is, but it's gettining in and out of the place that will prove difficult, as it is a limited parking time street, and they would get blocked in, when funerals/weddings took place they had to 'stand guard' and put unoficial bollards down, the council stopped them doing it as it is on a very busy street, not only traffic wise but for business also.

Re: what do you think should happen to cannon street church?
i was walking past the other day and the someone had broken the windows. the council havent bothered to repair them even though they are around the corner. broken windows will allow pidgons to wreak havoc giving that useless council an exuse to knock it down and erect a ghastly purpose built building for them to spend our taxes in the most useless fashion. has anyone else seen the broken windows

Oh, so it's going to be luxury flats for out-of-towners is it? Another fine building that will be closed to public access - Disgraceful! Why aren't we shouting our heads off about this?[/QUOTE]
Well, the application in now for 16 residential apartments.

No chance of a cup of sugar from yours truly willow, I cannot stand snobs, these flats will be for overpaid advisers to PB and CO not for local residents. The planning application reads 'luxury flats' without car parking, it could only happen in Accrington
