Re: What exactly is Housework?

Will never win house-wife of the year and don't particularly want to.

I live on a farm so there's plenty of dust and muck around. I don't quite follow Quentin Crisps guidelines on collecting dust but I'm not obsessive or house-proud. As long as it's comfortable and reasonably clean that's good enough for me.

I like Margaret's idea with the dyson - though I have always thought that if people come to visit they are coming to see me and not to check whether my house is clean!

If I have visitors while I wait for energy, they won't think I'm a slob - they'll just think that their visit has interrupted cleaning.
Margaret that is a brilliant idea!

I must be a VERY exciting person! Was it Mae West who said 'My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance'

I don't know who it was, but I am going to adopt that saying...I like it!

If I start 'bottoming' himself asks who is coming...the cheeky devil.

Bottoming....a good lancashire term....a bit like a Spring clean......you need to head over and read some of my blogs(if you have time). I'm sure there is one of them that talks about bottoming...there might even be a thread on here about it...I will hie me away and look.

It has been mentioned on the "Old sayings" thread - one Garinda's ma uses I believe -my own Grandmother also used to say it!

I suspected it was one of these strange woman thing type ailments that aren't really talked about in front of us blokes, or is it when you women are getting ready to go out and you start wiggling your backsides whilst asking 'does my bum look big in this?', either way I don't think I want to know!

I was never housetrained, is my excuse. I am a feral human, kind of like a long-time stray cat.
With those rats dribbling pee everywhere, the place must be a health hazard.
