What have you broken?
My little girl currently has a cast on her arm. She fell off a chair last weekend. The x-ray wasn't conclusive so they put a cast on just as a precaution. She's going to have it taken off on Monday hopefully.
So what has everyone else broken?

Re: What have you broken?
I broke my ankle when I was 4, fell over the kerb round the hearth. We were in the throes of moving house at the time.
Broke my wrist when I was at school (right hand) but as I'd started out in life left-handed and was made to use my right hand at a nasty horrible school I went to I managed to cope fairly well.

Re: What have you broken?
My husband broke his leg playing Rugby one Boxing Day years ago, my elder daughter broke a finger playing netball, my son broke both his front teeth skateboarding and dislocated his hip playing football, my younger daughter broke her ankle when she stumbled in a pothole on an unmade road. My grandson broke his collar-bone when he fell over their dog when he was 4 then broke his arm when he fell off a climbing frame in a pub garden. My mother broke her leg when she missed the bottom stair in her house, my dad broke both arms jumping a back-yard gate when he was a little boy (about 1915) and my eldest brother broke a leg playing football in the army (National Service).
So far my granddaughter and I are unique. We are still in one piece.

Re: What have you broken?
i broke my little toe out of love!!! i was moving a solid pine dining table so i could make a romantic meal for me and my fellas first anniversary and as me and my sister took the top of from the legs i stupidly said balance it i moved and accidently knocked it and it crashed down on my pinky toe! oh good god was i in agony i looked like a typical cartoon character jumping up and down screaming ow for about an hour! that night i sat at the table with ice on my poor foot and my fella having to do the clearing up and washing up, it was supposed to be my treat for him too!
to this day my little toe still hurts when i wear new shoes or dance even when im asleep sometimes it wakes me up hurting me!
i play on it though when i want something of my fella i usually blame him and send him on a guilt trip! lol

Re: What have you broken?
I've never broken anything, except a few hearts, and cracked a few mirrors along the way.

Three ribs on New Years Eve/Morning 04/05.Only went next door, lol.Did it coming home, fell off a wall and hit my head, knocked myself out etc.Woke up on the settee 7am in total agony.Never known pain like it.Got a taxi to hospital and all they gave me was 1 bloody painkiller which I had an allergic reaction to.Itchy rash all over my body. Then at the same time I developed a cough which was like sticking a knife in me every time I coughed.Could barely move or sleep for over a week. Was in pain for about 6 weeks. All For The Sake Of Auld Lang Syne....quiet night in this year I think.

Re: What have you broken?
About 25 years ago I was riding a motorcycle along Blackburn Road towards Accy centre and I turned left down King Street, as I turned, a child ran out of Albion Street, I braked hard and threw myself over the handlebars and landed in a heap on the floor breaking my collar bone which I can still feel the break to this day. The child although was unhurt, she still suffered shock and was taken with me in the ambulance to Accy Victoria Hospital, we were both allowed home afterwards much to the wiser. A few days later I recieved a bill in the post for £7, for the Ambulance would you believe it?. A couple of years ago I broke my little toe on my left foot and had to wear a slipper all the time for a couple of weeks, on reflection the pain from the broken toe was ten times worse than the collar bone or maybe I'm getting soft in my "old" age.
