Crossing the Ribble this evening on our way home I noticed that it had risen a good four to five feet. Not quite level with the banks but almost, and there is more to come.

In London we have had the monsoon season for about the last three weeks. It's an event when it doesn't rain.

Well we always follow the Americans and proberly make a worse job of coping with severe weather of all kinds.
