What would accringtons be...
Edinburgh has had an Edinburgh Toile especially designed for the festival this year. They've used Edinburgh Castle, the statue of greyfriars bobby and a double decker bus.

It also sounds like the politicians have kicked off because of what they've used and also the designers are a team from glasgow!!
BBC NEWS | The Reporters | Pauline McLean
So if accrington was going to have one designed especially as it is 35 years since hyndburn was formed what would go on it.
market hall? Peter Britcliffe? town hall? what ... they were only suggestions ...

Re: What would accringtons be...
by the way for those who cant be bothered reading the links especially the second one...
The images, on bags and brochures at yesterday's launch, show a selection of images in the French Toile de Jouy tradition, but instead of rural French scenery, they show modern urban vignettes, like a double decker bus beside some roadworks, a homeless man sleeping rough outside St Giles Cathedral and most controversially two men vomiting and urinating on Greyfriars Bobby's statue.
That is why the politicians were complaining ...

I think they were some sort of pattern samples for designers. As for speaking English, well in your case, no .
But then English is a mixture of several languages ranging from Anglo Saxon-Norse with a large Dollop of Greek and Latin etc.

It sounds like Edinburgh got off likely, as the first design they did was for Glasgow, which featured 'crack addicts, prostitutes and the homeless are depicted against a forbidding backdrop of dilapidated tower blocks and scavenging seagulls.'

Re: What would accringtons be...
Accrington's should feature the Coppice, gangs of youths in black trackies tucked in their socks, holding a pit bull on a chain, the beautiful frontage of the Town Hall, the side elevation of the Town Hall showing the blue and white extention, charity shops, people waiting for taxis in Church Street at 3am on a Sunday morning, and pigeons eating a Gregg's pasty.
