Re: What's your favourite film?
We were talking about the fab English film from the 80's last night in the chatroom 'Rita, Sue and Bob too.' A very funny film about life in a northern town in the grim Thatcher years, and about ordinary people's lives. We particularly liked the guest appearance by Black Lace in the social club, and their rendition of 'We're havin' a Gangbang.'
In the chatroom we never quite decided who was Rita, Sue, or indeed Bob.

Re: What's your favourite film?
Hmmmm..... I've been trawling the archives because I was sure we have had this discussion before... Here's the link. http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/s...5&page=1&pp=15
I stick by my original choices of Green Mile, anything with Ray Liotta or Kevin Spacey...

and one film i watched will always stick in my mind ,,,imitation of life ,i cried and cried at that one, about a black girl who thought she should have been white,,she disowned her dark skined mother ,,then at the end of the film she was running after her funneral hearse,,,oh it was sooo sad

Anybody remember when she (Judy Garland) was to appear at the London palladium and live on t.v. at the same time? After about twenty, thirty minutes of waiting they forcefully poured her onto the stage in no condition to do her or her audience any good! I think that was one time the show shouldn't have gone on!

What are classing as scary films Mummiboo?
Slash horror movies, I hate them, they are so predictable .... though I do like Hellraiser.
Psychological horrors are more scary, ones that make you think like ... Final Destination .... OMG that film was scary! Mothman Prophecies is another one (Richard Gere again ) and Sixth Sense what an awesome film!
I'm looking forward to seeing Wolf Creek, I bet that's really scary being based on a true story.
