just something that has been niggling at me for sometime now,
I LIVE IN CHURCH near accrington,not within the boundaries of hyndburn,how many people out there relate to living in HYNDBURN. i am proud of the fact i was born in accy and brought up in church.who puts thier address as hyndburn,whilst talking with other people do you say,I live in hyndburn.so is there any chance we could ban talk of hyndburn on accy web?

I've lived in Accy for 5 years, and I still say that I am from Darwen.

Then again, I still haven't a clue where I am in Accy. Someone asked me where Canon St was the other day and I had to confess that I had no idea. My other half nearly wet himself laughing at my stupidity.

I never say I live in Hyndburn, I always say Accrington or even just Lancashire if I'm abroad.

To me Hyndburn is the name of a river. I always say that I live in Accy. I've worked in Clayton, Church, Ossy, Rishton as well as further afield in parts of Blackburnshire not to mention the far reaches of Prestonand beyond but even there I would never have said that I come from Hyndburn.

I love the "temporary graffiti" spotted recently on a dirty HBC wagon underneath the words "Hyndburn Works" where someone had written in the muck "not in my opinion it don't"
