Whitebirk Roundabout
I take back every comment I made about the Roundabout yesterday.
This morning I decided to test out the new lights and brave going via the motorway to work. I got to work approx 20-30 minutes earlier. I couldn't believe it and nor could my colleagues . I was the only one waiting at the lights when I got to the roundabout coming from the motorway. It was well worth waiting the ten years it took them to finish it. Absolutely made up .

Re: Whitebirk Roundabout
What is it like coming from tesco and going down Whitebirk Drive towards PCWorld? I can't believe they have screwed up the little roundabout with a bus lane.
Can you still get off the little roundabout to go to the Range or have they closed that exit?

Re: Whitebirk Roundabout
Maybe they might start sorting out the next junction now then at Shadsworth, although that one was clear going off the westbound lane this morning, as usual the eastbound slip road was backed up on to the motorway.

Yes you can still get in the range from the roundabout. The bus lane has broken white lines for you to cross over at the entrance to the range

I thought they were doing that when they were doing the road works
That is one of the most dangerous things I have seen. The designer of that should be shot. What are you supposed to do if there is a couple of buses on your inside? Stop on the roundabout and wait until they have gone. You cannot drive in the bus lane so how are you supposed to use that exit.
Also why have they removed the continuous lane that went from the bottom roundabout to the top and left down Whitebirk Drive? That should have been extended all the way down to the bottom roundabout as a third lane. I wonder if the lights will stop traffic queuing around the bottom roundabout at peak times?

Re: Whitebirk Roundabout
Talking of road junctions, the only time I haven't had problems at Church traffic lights was when they weren't working

No it is a roundabout. They like to pretend they have built a ring road around Blackburn, the roundabout is just part of it.

I don't think so. It has signs above the lanes telling you which lane you need for the ring road, which is down Whitebirk drive. All that messing about on Preston New road, Montegue Street, around Asda and B&Q is there idea of making a ring road around Blackburn.
They should fill the middle up with petrol and set fire to it
Then Blackburn would have something that most of its residents has got
