Who wants to live forever?
I read with interest, that scientist have almost cracked the problem of human ageing.Dr.Aubrey de Grey(very apt name) a geneticist from Cambridge University, has conducted research into stem cells and their use in prolonging the life span of the human race.
He tells us that he would wager someone alive today could still be around for another 900+years!
At the moment they are working on mice which appparently are genetically similar to us.
So the plan is opt for retirement as early as possible then watch the b*****S squirm when they pay us 900 years of pension, not to mention the bus pass!

Re: Who wants to live forever?
Just a thought but aren't we going to be a bit overcrowded if everyone lives for 900 years? Will there be an embargo on reproduction to make room for us all? And can you just imagine what we'd look like?

Re: Who wants to live forever?
If time speeds up as we get older how fast will it seem to be going at 900 years old?

Think of all the great-great-great-great-great-great(etc)-grandchildren you'd have to buy birthday and Christmas pressies for!
