Magpie that's not the attitude, Gordon says we have to spend our way out of recession, and as he's on his crusade to save the world single handed who are serfs like use to doubt such a superior being

It's actually the ex-manager of the toy department who has bought the toy part of Mercer's and opened a shop on Darwen St selling.... ummmm..... toys. It's not actually Mercer's, just someone trading under that name.

Also these poundshop/discount stores must be rubbing their hands with glee with this recession & the foresight they had to open these stores.I know we often moan about the ammount of charity/pondshops in Accy, but i think soon we could be grateful they're there.
Well, Just hoping it's not River Island or M+S cos I still have vouchers to spend there

Re: Who'll Be Next To Go, after Woolworths?

So that program last week on the Beeb, about the staff from a Woollies reopened the store under a new name, think it was Wellworth or something, some one took the risk, knowing where Woollies had gone wrong, and opened up again selling the things that people wanted not tat which is what Woollies were selling at the end, whether they carry on with the success story only time will tell, but 10 out of 10 for trying
