Wii fit..........beware!!!!

I wanted to purchase one of the wii fit game and pad and thought i had found the bargain i was looking for but it seems not. I found, through searching, an internet site that was advertising them for £69.99 delivered called "zavvi-direct". However, after firstly receiving an e-mail saying "out of stock until June 20th" i am still awaiting my wii fit. Has anyone on here had the same problems???

Re: Wii fit..........beware!!!!

Zavvi is the new name for Virgin Music. Zavvi have taken over all the Virgin stores and the online side of that business.

Wii Fit has been very popular with Wii owners and subsequently has been hard to source. Zavvi are pretty good, I've had a few orders with them, but sometimes it has taken a little while to source certain items. You will get your item in the end, but for the reasons outlined above, it looks as if they are having a problem getting hold of it for you as quickly as they had hoped.
If you are still concerned, email their customer services. I'm sure they will set your mind at rest.

As a side note, Zavvi started a mega-sale yesterday and attracted so much traffic that it crashed their site!!

Re: Wii fit..........beware!!!!

In fact, if you look at all the big online traders, Amazon, Play, HMV, etc, none of them have the Wii Fit in stock, so there's obviously a shortage of the units at the moment.

Re: Wii fit..........beware!!!!

Ahhhh, hang on. Zavvi Direct are nothing to do with the company I was talking about. Zavvi (ex-Virgin) are also selling Wii Fit for £69.99, but are not the same company as Zavvi Direct, which looks like a very dodgy setup.

See this thread: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/25...s-warning.html

No retailers are likely to have the Wii fit for about 8 weeks.
I think this is a cynical ploy by nintendo to increase the sales by making them scarce....there have been programs sponsored by the Wii Fit game and then when you go and try to purchase, you find no-one has any....unless of course you are mad and pay £139 for one from traders selling on sites such as Amazon.
My daughter wanted to buy me one of these for my birthday and she trawled round trying to find one......she said she got fit just looking for one for me.
Some of the game shops do have waiting lists for this game, so even when they come back in stock, there will be many that are already pre-sold.

Re: Wii fit..........beware!!!!

We've had deliveries of WiiFit for the last 3 days at Game in Burnley, stock is filtering through slowly but there is still nowhere near enough to meet demands.

If you've ordered from the internet you'll be on a queuing system and it will depend how many people ordered before you as to when you'll receive it.

That is good to know nikkival......it was one of the Manchester stores that gave me the information about it being about 8 weeks before they would have stock of the Wii fit.

I didn't have a Wii machine then, only got it very recently. Daughter wanted to give me the Wii fit for a birthday present...but hey, I can wait.

I'd never get to play it.....I would have to fight off my son-in -law....and Tiddler would want to play it too.......I really need the Wii fit to tell me that I am a disgraceful wreck who is only fit to be demolished and used for spare parts

I am absolutely 'bobbins' at most of the games anyway....though I am quite addicted to the bowling and the golf, and oh yes, the tennis(though I hate the game in real life)...and funnily enough they make me sweat like I have played a proper game...how weird is that?
