Wild animals.....

Living in different towns down south (including coastal) i used to see alot of wildlife down there and this summer im hoping to try and find some of the hotspots for wildlife up here (any help with locations?) so i googled 'wild animals in Lancashire'........
first thing was 'goth murderers acted like wild animals' for the first 2 links but for the third this every recent article in the telegraph.
If You Go Down To The Woods (from Lancashire Telegraph)
What do you think about this?
I am not going hunting for these things *lol* (im after animals that are seen on a weekly/monthly basis) and in a park near where i lived in Margate there was supposed to be similar 'big cats' lurking-alot of research has gone into the ones in Kent by a guy called Neil Arnold, and there is even a group called 'Kent Big Cat Research' that put alot of money and time into the subject.
Personally i dont believe a word, but do any of you?

Re: Wild animals.....

I remember seeing on television that there are wild wallabies in Derbyshire.

BBC - h2g2 - Derbyshire's Wallabies

In south London most of the commons have ponds with terrapins living in them, when people got bored with them after the Ninja Turtle phase ended, though I haven't seen any up here, perhaps because it's too cold.
