Wooton Bassett
I have just received a YouTube or Facebook email which shows a children's choir backing a female singer who is singing a song called 'Forever Young' It may be reached by googling 'National Airtime for Forever Young' I don't know how to post it here but I have sent it to our webmaster.
It made me think that Hyndburn Council could think about twinning with Wootton Bassett. Both towns share a feeling of loss over the deaths of young lads. WB might want to become a Pal of Accrington. I have sent one off to the Town Hall. I have taken the opportunity to air a grievance of mine -= that the cortege in WB should not be preceded by an undertakler but by a very senior military leader - a colonel representing the serviceman's regiment. |
