funny you shuold say that because i went down today and watched them and thought they were digging a little deep considering theres a river under there

anyway work suddenly stopped and all of them went over to look at what had happened and a few of them started coveringtheir noses with their T-Shirts

Could be fireman saw them trying to dig through the top of the culvert housing the river, that must be the secret addition to broadway, a low level water feature, only to work when the culvert is blocked, or the river is in flood, then again it could be a secret bunker for PB

Broadway- The Venice of the North.

Stinking, sinking fast and full of s**t.

Hopefully not.

Perhaps we could have gondolas instead of stainless steel benches to sit on?

Re: work has started

Well I just thought I would resurect this thread.. Yesterday I walked along Broadway. It's half finished and it'only been under way since July. The one thing that stands out in the refurbishment, is the fact that even though the project is only half finished, the buff coloured flags they have laid already are stained, stuck with chewing gum and look very scruffy. Definayely a good choice of colour HBC. Do you ever consider the future of this town, How is Broadway going to look in another 4 months.

And the black tarmac doesn't really convey the sophisticated look we were led to believe was what they wanted.......and when Sandra Hayes has finished getting Ossy in order......could she please organise a litter pick up round Broadway and the market.....? It is pig hole.

Re: work has started

Or better still a fast flowing river along Broadway witha long tunnel at each end that no one knows its outlet. That would sort out some of the plonkers who wish to turn our town into a pig sty at night (can I say PIG)

They seem to leap from one disaster to the next without a thought for us people who have to love with their blunders.
