Worry over coffee risk

This is the title of a article in the telegraph i cant find a link to it as its just a fill in piece so will print it below

The leaders of Lancashire county council are to install a £343 coffee machine in there offices- to reduce 'risks'.
A report said the espresso-maker would improve the hospitality facilities of the cabinet and lead members room,
used by members of the ruling Tory group
It added "it would reduce the current health and safety risks which occur though staff having to make the refreshments themselves"

lazy lot what happened to the tea-lady with the trolley going round

So remember be care full making your brew or Health and safety could get you

just made a brew n hot water spit on me left hand, so over all i think its a good idea, wonder if the council will give a grant to residents towards buying one.?

Who's going to handle their cups though, and hold the cups to their lips, after blowing on the hot coffee for them, to reduce the risk of the poor County Councillors burning themselves?

Whilst the rest of the county suffers the recession, at least those in County Hall can enjoy a Skinny Latte, without putting themselves in too much danger.

Let them eat cake, and drink a frothy cappuccino.

£9.99 for a kettle you have been done Rindy they are only £4.99 at B&M and i am sure there will be some in the £1 shop soon

I really don't see a problem with it except for pretending its for health and safety reasons.

In the main office area at work is a kettle, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, oven, dishwasher and a sink with chilled and boiling water point.

All the meeting rooms have coffee/tea machines as well.



Maybe the more interesting question would be who is paying for the tea and coffee supplies the new machine uses?

May be the most interesting question is - why on earth did someone feel the need to tell the press about this? It's a coffee machine (edited out vile language) - it's not of importance to anyone. It's not even a particularly expensive one for an office.

I was a little concerned about them buying a cheap one and it not lasting long as well.
