Worst Easter

The media never fail to amaze me, This Easter has been billed as the worst Wheather wise for 40 years. Considering that its close on 90 years since it was this early is anyone really surprised, it tends to be rather colder in March than April when Easter generally falls. It will be well into the next millenium before it falls so early again

Re: Worst Easter

Easter in March happens more often than that.
My brother was born on Good Friday in 1940 - March
So I went to the trouble to find out how often easter is in March

Frequency of Occurrences of the Date of Easter 1875 to 2124

Couldn't agree more katex, I'm a bit like Margaret I hibernate through the winter and usually go out on the first Tuesday after Easter, I'm putting it of till next week, well at least it will be light on the way out, as you say when the clocks go forward it makes you feel better

Margaret you never fail to amaze me, why bother with google, we'll just Margaret it you always come up with the answers. I think I read somewhere that the earliest Easter can fall is 22 March and the latest 27 April, which seems to bare up with the chart. I can remember back in around either 68 or 69 going for a walk on Good Friday with the youngster in the pram shirt sleeve order

So what is a little snow ... and at -5 you at least have it warm ... and long johns! it's not even cold enough for a sweater Last year at easter we had the biggest blizzard of the season, and that was in April. This year it was pleasant, not much more than a few flurries and a balmy -1 for a high, thought it did get a little cool at night ... -20 with the wind chill.
