Nope can't say that I have noticed a decline in clocks, if anything there are now more clocks than you can shake a stick at.
Every conceivable machine produced today seems to have a clock, if you buy a new radio, a clock, a new t.v., a clock, even a new fridge, a clock.
Doctors, dentists, etc. are being given more and more clocks by drug companys than they know what to do with.
Every Bank I go into, on the wall is not just a clock but it has a calender with todays date on it displayed too, (perhaps they think this will help customers when filling in paying slips to get the date right).
As for trying to prevent you from knowing how long you have waited, they always have and always will end up keeping you waiting so they wouldn't bother trying to hide the fact from you.
So sit back, relax, enjoy the magazines they have so generously provided for you and just for once let the world go by without worrying about the main clock, the one ticking away inside you because when that stops.........
