would anyone notice if you went missing
came across this news bit about a new home buyer finding the body of the previous owner in his new flat

i would be noticed if i went missing, there would be no one to cook the kids and fellas tea or iron or clean up so yeh i think they would notice im gone

It depends when I went missing - for instance, my job is so flexible that if I didn't show up in the morning they wouldn't particularly worry, just assume I wasn't coming in that day. However, if I went missing on the way home from work I think alarm bells would be ringing within an hour or so.

It's very sad this fifty five year old woman's children didn't wonder where she was, whilst dead in her flat for six years.
Looks like they don't have Council Tax in Spain.
In the UK she would have been discovered much earlier, when the council sent in the bailiffs, because she was a couple of months late with her payments.

Unfortunately a lady down our road was found last week, and she laid undiscovered for two weeks.. her best friend had gone away for a 2 week hol but had not asked anyone to check on her... sad thing is when she was found it looked like her dog had only just died!!!

Amazing that although she had "defaulted" on the payments, no-one from the bank/mortgage company had called at the house - not even a valuer before it was put up for sale?
