Re: would you???
well for all you who are interested i used to work on cash machines, and i can tell you how it works
1, if you had left the money in the machine it would have retracted and gone into a seperate bin, so when the poor schmuck went back into the bank and explained they could have checked and it would have also left a record of " some money" being retracted
2, because you actually took the money the chances are the bank just pocketed the money as the customer has no way of proving that they had not taken the money
out of interest an old scam used to be, go to machine withdraw 200 when the money comes out, remove a few notes from the middle without touching the top or bottom note, the cash would then retract you could then go in and argue you hadnt taken any
dont bother trying it as ALL modern machine now have a device called a DVLT that measures the thicknes of the notes going out and coming back in
so to do the right thing in future (if you really want to) stand by the machine until it retracts the money, then they stand a chance

Re: would you???
I read an article the girl gave to the LET, to her credit she fully admits what she did was wrong, and is expecting to receive a custodial sentence.

Re: would you???
Many years ago I had a 'bank error in your favour' of £30 - I just kept quiet about it - treated it as 'compen' for the charges they were levying then for just having an account (even in credit) -'The Monopoly of Life'

Re: would you???
The Euro key on North American keyboards {mine at least** can be printed by holding down the alt key while pressing 0128 on the right hand number panel. As Tommy Cooper would say € "Just like that"
