'You couldn't make it up'?? You could but no one would believe you. What about PCSO's who can't help children across the road because they haven't been trained to? Heaven help their parents then.

Re: You couldn't make it up

This was an exercise in dealing with a major bombing incident; the 'earthquake' label was just cover so as not to offend certain sections of the 'community'. Read the bit about the large numbers of amputees - not a normal feature following an eathquake.

Re: You couldn't make it up

"600 actors and amputees were employed to pose as injured victims". What was the proportion of amputees to act - the report just states the total number of both, unless i have missed something. The same with the statement that it was not for an earthquake type incident but for an explosion - perhaps i need to go to Specsavers

Re: You couldn't make it up

I was with a police officer from Manchester yesterday who informed me that the head of GMP is not a very popular man with the troops following his ludicrous spending ideas.

£20,000 on name badges that they don't need since they all have collar numbers.

£30,000 on fridge magnets because 'you can't put a price on community cohesion'.

If you ask me we need more of this and less of those silly front line police on the streets......
