Young Charlotte

I need a little help. Charlotte attends a Spanish school and, because of the three months summer holiday she has been stuck in nursery for ages. Her parents both work. Her Nan was here for a little while and kept her amused, 'Auntie Sue' has looked after her for the odd day and now it's my turn!

Not being a confident swimmer I don't feel I could take her to the pool. I'd be so scared for her safety.

My 'thing' is computers and as she has never used one I thought I could introduce her.

I've checked out a couple of sites but nothing seems to jump out at me. I need some sort of 'mouse practice' to start with, nothing too complicated.

First lesson starts on Thursday............any parent who can help please post!

Charlotte is almost six years old, very intelligent, speaks English and Spanish naturally but reads and writes in Spanish.

Re: Young Charlotte

I remember my sister-in-law made me do mouse exercises on a Windows programme that helped me.

Good luck.

You could always get her to join Accy Web and play some of the fun games in there, which my six year old nephew loves to play.

Re: Young Charlotte

My daughters enjoy cbeebies which has stuff for all ages, another good site is nick jr which has Dora the explorer as well as many other popular kids show games. Dora is very easy a lot of very simple games. If you are not familiar with Dora she is a popular character who speaks in both Spanish and English. Hope this helps.

Re: Young Charlotte

Thank you everyone. I have a plan now and, hopefully, Charlotte will learn a little and have fun along the way.

If I'm not too wrecked I'll report on it tomorrow night.

Thanks again xx
